The Story — Stock Tank Pool Authority

Welcome! We are Casey + Savannah and we are the two ladies behind Stock Tank Pool Authority. We are two best friends who live + work together. Our DIY blogging journey started way back in 2011 with our first blog, Hey Wanderer. That blog is actually where our stock tank pool first debuted. We realized that our stock tank pool DIY was gaining so much traction that it needed its own website and Instagram so here we are!

We started our STP journey back in 2016 when they first started circulating on the internet. Casey had seen one she loved a while before we decided to make it happen. What she loved about the idea of a stock tank pool was what everyone does- they are nicer looking than an above ground pool and they are the perfect size to keep up with and cool off in the summer.

In 2017 we filmed the tutorial for how to turn a stock tank into a pool because no one else had done this yet. There was zero information on anything regarding using a pool pump for a stock tank pool- we searched the internet high and low. We could find a few people who had pictures of their pools but not a lot of other information. And so The Original Stock Tank Pool DIY was born.

In 2018 we were featured in The Washington Post in an article about stock tank pools. And you guys went wild! The stock pool movement has grown exponentially every year.

What we hope you have figured out about us is that we are actually pretty passionate about stock tank pools and helping you guys turn your backyard into your own paradise. We troubleshoot everything possible, so you guys don’t have to and we make sure to share it all as quickly as possible. We’ve been beautifying spaces since the beginning and we love inspiring you with new ideas and seeing what you do with your space!
