5 Reasons To Build Your Stock Tank Pool Over Fall & Winter

Every year stock tank pools get more popular, but this year has blown it out of the water. While we are ecstatic that people are joining us in the Backyard Oasis movement, this has created a supply problem. Prices for pumps have skyrocketed and you mostly can’t even find one or it’s price is outrageous. $50 pumps are selling for $300+! It’s crazy out there.

Where Can I Buy A Stock Tank Stock Tank Pool Authority.jpg

If you live in or near the Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Trenton, NJ, Austin, Dallas/Ft. Worth areas you are in luck! We have some new tanks coming this fall and they are available for pre-sale now! Head to our SHOP section to purchase 8 ft., 9 ft., and 10 ft, stock tanks.

Okay, so why should you bulid and DIY your pool this Fall or Winter?

  1. The manufacturers are behind because of everything that’s been going on. This made them behind with their regular orders and then stock tank pools became insanely popular at the same time, so their clientele has multiplied significantly. The shortage of tanks doesn’t seem to be coming to an end any time soon. A lot of these manufacturers aren’t prepared to handle this new industry and the popularity of these pools has been on the rise every year. But this year the concept has exploded and the manufacturers are still behind on production! Get your tank while they are available.

  2. Prices for supplies will be lower. Once the weather cools off, supply costs for the pumps and accessories will be lower. So this is the perfect time to be buying all of the supplies you need to turn your stock tank into a pool.

  3. Building your deck and figuring out your decorations in the cooler months is more bearable than doing it in the summer. We’ve built a few decks this summer and I’m not gonna lie- it was pretty miserable. Get all that physical labor done while the temperature is cooler and spend your whole summer just chillin’.

  4. You’ll be ready for spring and summer the moment it warms up. You can even buy a solar cover that will help your water get warmer more quickly. I keep hearing over and over that people wish they would’ve jumped on the stock tank pool bandwagon when they first learned about it so they could’ve enjoyed their pool sooner. Don’t get in the situation everyone was in this summer.

  5. Possibly extend your season. You can turn you tank into a hot tub, or maybe you live in a place where it stays warm year round. Stock tank pools can be set up to be used for more than just the summer season. You can either heat up your tank with a water heater or use a solar cover. There are several tutorials on the internet for doing this.

WHY BUY A HASTINGS TANK?

Hastings makes the best quality tanks. We can say that because we’ve used all the major brands.

One of the biggest complaints I hear is that the brands you buy in big box stores have these unseemly seams at the bottom and side of the tank. There’s nothing you can do about those seams and they don’t hurt anything, but they just aren’t very attractive. Hastings doesn’t have those kind of seams.

Our Hastings tanks are made of 20 gauge galvanized metal which is a thicker metal than what you can buy in big box stores. This makes them more durable.

Hastings tanks are manufactured in Hastings, Nebraska and they’ve been around since 1910. They aren’t some massive corporation that doesn’t care about their customers. They’ve been really great to us and I hear nothing but great things about them. Our own personal dealings with this company have been extraordinary. Like I wanna drive to Nebraska to meet all these people who have been working tirelessly to provide us tanks. They might be the true heroes of this whole mess this summer

After using all of the major brands we can honestly say that the Hastings brand is the best. And we are the only authorized dealer in this area. So you won’t find these in a lot of places. So you might be able to find a stock tank at a big box store, but it won’t be a Hastings tank (at least not in our area).

So if you are ready to join the #nodivingclub sooner than later pre-order your tank now! Click the links below to pre-order a tank. This is for pick-up in the Nashville area. We are offering a delivery within a 100 mile radius of Nashville. At this time we do not have a way to ship our tanks any further than this.
